The weather is getting delicious and it is time to bring out the grill! What better thing to start out with than a delectable, juicy burger? Here’s a very easy and great recipe for the best grilled burgers ever!
To make six burgers you will need:
FOR THE MEAT:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
3 scallions, finely chopped, white and green parts
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt & Pepper
Place all the ingredients in a bowl.
Season generously with salt and pepper. Mix well.
Divide equally into 6 parts and shape into patties.
FOR THE SAUCE:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon mustard
Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl.
6 slices American cheese
Thinly sliced red onion
Sliced dill pickles
6 hamburger buns
Heat your grill until hot, about ten minutes. Reduce the heat to medium. Place the burgers on the grill – no need to grease the rack, the burger has enough fat in it to keep it from sticking.
Cook for five minutes, until browned and cooked half way, and flip.
Cook for an extra five minutes. Cover with the cheese and cook until cheese melts.
Place an open hamburger bun onto a plate. Smear both sides with the prepared sauce. Place a lettuce leaf, tomato slice and sliced onion on one side. Place two sliced pickles on the other bun. Place the burger on top of the pickles.
Cover and serve. Enjoy!
