Apple crisp is a very easy and affordable dessert. Not to mention delicious! This recipe is quick and the result is wonderful. Serve it with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. This is what you will need:
8 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup flour
1 1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
2/3 cup melted unsalted butter
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 9×13 pan. Place the apple slices in a bowl and toss with the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
In another bowl, mix together the oats, flour, dark brown sugar and butter. Mix until crumbs form.
Place the apples in the baking pan.
Top the apples with the oat mixture.
Bake the crisp for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool down for a few minutes before serving.
