Pasta with Shrimp Recipes – Fettuccine Alfredo with Garlic Shrimp

Fettuccine Alfredo is an all time favorite! Add some garlic shrimp to it and you are really in business! Here is what you will need for this:

12 oz. cooked and drained Fettuccine pasta
4 TBS butter
3 TBS flour
4 cups milk
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Salt & Pepper
1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp
2 garlic cloves, minced
Olive oil
Chopped parsley for garnish

Melt the butter in a heavy pot. Whisk in the flour, a little at a time. Whisk constantly for 3 to 4 minutes
until flour cooks.
Add the milk, whisking constantly in order to prevent lumps. Season with salt and
pepper. Add the cheese.
Whisk constantly until sauce comes to a soft boil, thickens and the cheese melts. Simmer for a few minutes.

While the sauce is simmering, heat a large skillet with some olive oil. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add the shrimp and cook, flipping as soon as it gets pink on one side. Cook approximately for 4 to 5 minutes until it is opaque and evenly pink on both sides. Do not overcook the shrimp!

Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and toss to coat well. Place it on a platter and top with the cooked shrimp. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve. Enjoy!
