This side will dress up any meal. Serve it with fish, chicken, beef or pork. It is very simple to make and is loaded with flavor. Make sure you don’t over-cook your string beans so that they remain crisp. Here is what you are going to need:
1 pound string beans – trimmed
2 garlic cloves – minced
3/4 TBS ginger – grated
1 TBS soy sauce
1 TBS oil
1/2 tsp. chili sesame oil
2 tsp. rice vinegar
Pinch sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 TBS sesame seeds
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the string beans and cook for about 6 to 7 minutes – until beans cooked but still crisp. Drain the beans and place them in ice water to stop the cooking process.
Place all of the remaining ingredients – except for the sesame seeds – in a bowl and mix well. Add the string beans and the sesame seeds. Toss to coat well. Serve and enjoy!
