How to Cook Bacon in the Oven

In this post I want to show you how to cook bacon in the oven. It is an easy process that is worth it for a few reasons.

The first one is that the bacon will always cook evenly and will be crisp. You will only need a parchment paper lined baking sheet and a very hot oven. The cooking time will depend on how thick your bacon is but generally you will be done in about 15 minutes.

The second reason is that you will not have to worry about splatters in your kitchen. This process is a lot cleaner and all you will have to do is discard the parchement paper and wash the baking sheet.

The third reason is that you will be able to cook a large amount of bacon at the same time if you have to feed a lot of people. The best part is that you can do this unattended so that you can concentrate on cooking eggs and other things that you might want to serve.

In my opinion this is definitely the best way to cook bacon for a crisp and delicious result. When bacon is cooked this way it is also great for sandwiches. This will make a killer BLT.

This is how to cook bacon in the oven:

Bacon strips

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place the bacon slices on the parchment paper without piling it up.

Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for seven minutes.

Rotate the pan and bake for another seven minutes. The cooking time will vary if the bacon is very thin so please keep this in mind and check it earlier if necessary.

Remove the pan from the oven and place the bacon strips on a paper towel lined plate.
