In this post I want to show you how to make frozen yogurt. This recipe is so easy it hardly qualifies as one (a recipe) . . . he he!
All you are going to need is thick Greek yogurt and some frozen fruit. The fruit can be any fruit of your choice. I used berries but you can use peaches, mangoes, pineapple or anything else you prefer.
If you can’t get ahold of thick Greek yogurt all you have to do is strain plain yogurt in a lined colander. You do not have to wait until it is as thick as cream cheese but you do not want it to be liquid. So be patient please.
This is a very healthy alternative to cream based ice cream and all you need is a blender to be able to enjoy it
This is how to make frozen yogurt:
2 cups frozen fruit of your choice
1 cup thick Greek yogurt
2 TBS confectioner’s sugar or super fine sugar or honey
Place all the ingredients in a blender. Blend until it is creamy and thick.
Transfer the yogurt mixture to a bowl and cover it directly with a piece of wax paper. Freeze overnight or for a minimum of six hours.
Remove the yogurt from the freezer and allow it to sit for ten to fifteen minutes before you scoop it out. Serve and enjoy!
