Vietnamese Iced Coffee


Vietnamese Iced coffee is very refreshing and flavorful. It is easy to make as well. You will need to make some very strong coffee and then finish it up with sweetened condensed milk and ice.

I made my coffee in a French press but you can easily make it in an automatic coffee maker. You can also place a filter inside a small colander and put it over a cup. Fill the filter with coffee grounds and slowly add boiling water. Let it drip into the cup.

I am not big on sweetened coffee and I always drink mine strong and black. However, the fact that you are using such strong coffee for this recipe makes it a delicious treat that is not super sweet.

This is how you make Vietnamese iced coffee:

Serves four
1/3 cup ground dark roast coffee
2 cups boiling water
1 cup sweetened condensed milk

Place the coffee grounds in a French press and add the boiling water. Stir it and allow steeping for a few minutes before pressing down. Conversely, you can make this by placing a coffee filter inside a small colander over a cup. Slowly pour the boiling water over the coffee and let it drip. Cool it down.

Add ½ cup of this coffee into a glass with ¼ cup condensed milk. Mix it well. Fill the glass with ice cubes and serve.
