Golden turmeric milk is made with milk, turmeric, ginger, black pepper and coconut milk. It can be sweetened if one likes. I use a little bit of honey to sweeten mine.
Turmeric is an amazingly noble spice. It has been categorized as a great antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogen, and antibacterial. It is very easy to incorporate in meals and tasted delicious.
You can use turmeric in ground powder or in root form. Sometimes I am lucky enough to find some turmeric root at the market and I buy it. I love putting it in my bone broth or to make ginger turmeric tea.
You need to consume black pepper with turmeric or your body will not absorb it. In the mornings, I make my coffee in a French press with cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper. It sounds super funky but it is actually very tasty!I try and consume it every day.
This golden milk is great to drink before bed. It is soothing and will help you sleep. It is also very good for your digestion.

This is what you are going to need for this deliciously healthy golden turmeric milk –
Serves one
1 1/4 cups (300 ml) milk — any kind you like
1/4 teaspoon (0.44 grams) ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon (3.7 grams) ground turmeric
Pinch black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons (7 grams) coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon (7 grams) honey or sweetener of choice (optional)
Place all ingredients in a small pot.
Heat, stirring until everything is incorporated.
Remove from heat when it just starts simmering.
Serve and enjoy.
