Frozen strawberry daiquiris are super refreshing and very easy to make. Daiquiris are originally from Cuba and were created by an American expat who worked in mines. The story tells that he add sugar and lime juice to his glass of rum and daiquiris were born. You can make daiquiris of many different flavors like mango, coconut, banana and peach.
We are going to make a simple syrup to use in our cocktail. A simple syrup is just equal parts of sugar and water which you heat until the sugar is dissolved. Cool it and you have a syrup to sweeten cocktails, juices, lemonades, etc.
Instead of ice we will be using frozen strawberries in this recipe. This will make the flavor of our cocktail more in tense. This is truly a delicious cocktail. Please enjoy responsibly!
If you want to make this virgin, omit the rum and use rum extract.
