This easy homemade chicken bone broth recipe has many benefits for your health! Bone broth contains collagen that is released from the bones. These are a good source of amino acids like glycine and glutamine. These are great for your liver and may help you sleep well at night. It is also great for your digestive system. The gelatin that is formed in the broth helps your digestive tract absorb nutrients better. This, in turn, may support your immune system and make it stronger.
I find that it helps me curve my cravings and keep me satisfied. A nice hot cup of bone broth will fill me, give me a boost in energy and generally help me feel well. I try and always have some on hand, making large batches and freezing them.
I made this recipe in my Instant Pot but you can certainly make it in the stove. The biggest difference I find is the time it takes to be done. In the Instant Pot you will have your broth in 120 minutes. On the stove you have to simmer it very slowly for about 480 minutes or 8 hours. I also find that I end up with more broth as it is easier to control the heat in the Instant Pot (it does it itself) than on the stove. Enjoy guys!
