How to Make Grilled Asparagus
Asparagus grills beautifully. It cooks really fast and tastes wonderful! It is an excellent source of vitamin A and C and a good source of potassium, phosphorous and iron. Although asparagus is in season between the middle of April and June, they were fresh, tender and on sale at the grocery store this week. So, I bought them and cooked them on the grill.
All you need to do is prepare the asparagus by removing the tough ends. Wash it and dry it with paper towels. Place it in a rimmed dish and drizzle it with olive oil, minced garlic (about 2 cloves per bunch), coarse salt and freshly ground pepper. Roll the asparagus in the oil making sure that it is coated well.

Heat your grill and turn it to medium heat. Clean the grids very well and oil them with a wad of paper towel soaked in olive oil. Place the asparagus on the grill and cook it for 4 to 5 minutes. You want it to remain crispy so do not over cook it!

Remove it from the grill and serve.
