How to Make Honey Mustard
In this post I want to show you how to make honey mustard. It is easy to make and is used as a compliment for many meals. Honey mustard sauce is great for dipping, as a sandwich spread or as salad dressing. This recipe uses prepared mustard – in this case Creole – and is extremely tasty. However, you can make it with yellow mustard if you prefer. Smear some on whole grain bread and make a ham and cheese sandwich. Delicious.
You can half or quarter this recipe as you need. It will keep nicely in a closed container, in the fridge, for a couple of weeks. This is a great gift from your kitchen.
Here is what you are going to need to make this wonderful honey mustard sauce:
Makes about 1 1/2 cups honey mustard sauce
1 cup mayonnaise
4 TBS prepared mustard
2 TBS lemon juice
4 TBS honey
Place all your ingredients in a bowl. Whisk until smooth. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
Serve as a dipping sauce with chicken fingers, as a sandwich spread or as a salad dressing.
