How to Make Chocolate Bark with Nuts
This chocolate bark recipe is made with rich dark chocolate, dried apricots and walnuts for a delectable combination of flavors.
Chocolate bark is a sheet of chocolate that is topped with nuts, fruits or candies and is served in shards of different sizes. A chocolate bark recipe can be made with any kind of chocolate. I love making it with more than one kind of chocolate sometimes — dark and white with peppermint candies for example.
It is easy and a great addition to any cookie platter or as a gift from your kitchen. If you do not like dark chocolate you can go ahead and make this with milk or white chocolate for a very delicious result. As all good recipes you will need to be patient when making this. You need to let the chocolate set completely after you melt it and add the fruit and nuts.
This is what you are going to need for this fantastic chocolate bark recipe:
16 oz. dark chocolate
8 oz. chopped dried apricots
8 oz. chopped walnuts
Place a bowl over some boiling water in a pot. Add the chocolate and melt, stirring occasionally. Remove the bowl from the pot when almost all the chocolate has melted. Stir to finish melting. Add the apricots and walnuts. Mix well.
Line a baking sheet with some parchment paper. Lightly butter the paper. Pour the chocolate onto the paper and spread out evenly with a spatula. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, until chocolate has hardened.
Break your chocolate bark into different size pieces and serve. Enjoy!
