Mint juleps are refreshing and shockingly easy to make. All you need are fresh mint leaves, powdered sugar, water, ice and bourbon. They are delish!
You can use caster or superfine sugar for this recipe instead of the powdered (confectioners or icing) sugar. Those will work well too.
You can also finish these with sparkling water if you like but this is totally optional. Obviously, the sparkling water will make it less strong.
This is what you are going to need for these delicious mint juleps:
8 mint leaves
2 teaspoons of powdered (icing, confectioner’s) or caster sugar
4 teaspoons water
8 ice cubes (or crushed ice)
4 oz. Bourbon
Sparkling water (optional)
Place 4 mint leaves into two whisky tumblers.
Add 1 tsp. of sugar and 2 tsp. of water into each one. Muddle the mint leaves with a muddler or a wooden spoon handler.
Add 4 ice cubes into each glass.
Add 2 oz. of Bourbon into each glass and stir. Add sparkling water if using.
Serve and enjoy!
