How to Make Pineapple Skin Juice

Pineapple Skin Juice

Don’t throw away pineapple skins when you peel one. They are full os antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. You do have to use an organic pineapple to make this in order to prevent consuming pesticides.

Pineapple Skin Juice

Ingredients:

  • Outer skin of 1 organic pineapple, washed
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 whole cloves
  • Sugar to taste
  • Water
  • Ice cubes, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pineapple Skin:
    • Thoroughly wash the outer skin of the pineapple before peeling.
  2. Cook the Pineapple Skin:
    • Place the washed outer skin into a large pan.
    • Cover the skin with water.
    • Add 2 cinnamon sticks and 3 whole cloves to the pan.
    • Add sugar to taste.
  3. Boil and Simmer:
    • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
    • Reduce the heat and let it simmer slowly for 30 minutes.
  4. Strain the Juice:
    • Allow the liquid to cool down.
    • Pass the liquid through a very fine sieve to remove the solids.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the strained juice over ice cubes.
