How to Make Roasted Butternut Squash & Pears

Roasted Squash & Pears

This is by far one of my favorite Fall roasted side dishes. I love the natural sweetness of the squash combined with the pears. I usually use Bartlett pears but you can use any kind you want.

Roasted Squash and Pears

Ingredients:

  • 1 squash, peeled, seeded, and cut into medium-sized cubes
  • 2 pears, peeled, seeded, and cut into medium-sized cubes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Peel, seed, and cut the squash into medium-sized cubes.
    • Peel, seed, and cut the pears into medium-sized cubes.
  2. Arrange in the Baking Dish:
    • Place the squash and pear cubes in a single layer in an oven-proof dish, ensuring they are not piled on top of each other.
    • Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roast:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Place the dish in the preheated oven.
    • Roast for approximately 35 to 40 minutes, until the squash and pears are cooked through and start browning in spots.
  4. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and serve as a side dish.

This roasted squash and pear dish pairs especially well with pork. Enjoy!
