Roasted Garlic Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 garlic head (top cut off, about 1/5th)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Garlic:
    • Cut off the top portion (about 1/5th) of the garlic head to expose the cloves.
  3. Season the Garlic:
    • Place the garlic head in a small, oven-proof container with a lid.
    • Drizzle the garlic with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
    • Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
  4. Roast the Garlic:
    • Cover the container and place it in the preheated oven.
    • Roast the garlic for about 1 hour, until the cloves are soft and golden brown.
  5. Cool and Store:
    • Remove the garlic from the oven and allow it to cool.
    • Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves from the heads.
    • If not using immediately, store the roasted garlic in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
