How to Make Tilapia
Let’s make Parmesan crusted tilapia today for dinner. This recipe is not only easy and delicious, it is low carb. Tilapia is a white fleshed, frugal fish. However, this recipe can be made with any white fish you like.
This is a very easy and delicious meal. Talk about frugal and elegant! Feel free to use any other mild white fish such as flounder. The delicate flavors of the tilapia go very well with the Parmesan spread.
6 tilapia fillets
1 large lemon
½ cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon ground garlic
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
Ø Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Ø Rinse and pat dry the fish. Place it into an ovenproof dish.
Ø In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, 1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice (from the other ½ lemon), Worcestershire, garlic, lemon zest and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
Ø Squeeze ½ of the lemon onto the fish (remove all seeds).
Ø Place fish into oven for 10 minutes. Remove and turn oven to broil.
Ø Spread an even amount of the cheese mixture on the fish fillets.
Ø Return to the oven and broil for 5 to 10 minutes, rotating the dish and being very careful not to burn the fish!
Ø Serve and enjoy!
