Broccolini Recipe

This broccolini recipe is extremely easy and very clean. We are going to sauté it in a skillet with garlic and lemon zest and juice. The lemon will enhance the flavors and take it to another level.

Broccolini is sometimes called baby broccoli but the truth is it is a cross between broccoli and gai-lan (Chinese broccoli). It has longer and thinner stalks than regular broccoli and the florets are a lot smaller.

Broccolini is delicious and a perfect side for any meal you like. I especially like it with fish. This is also a great side for Thanksgiving and other special celebrations. Serve it with some lemon wedges on the side for color.

Here is what you are going to need for this delicious and easy recipe:

Serves four
1 TBS olive oil
1 large garlic clove sliced thinly
8 oz. (250 grams) of broccolini
1/2 tsp. lemon zest
About 1 TBS of fresh lemon juice
Salt and pepper

Heat the olive oil in a skillet and add the garlic and the broccolini and season with salt and pepper to taste and mix. Add the lemon zest and the lemon juice.

Stir the broccolini occasionally and flip it once. Sauté it until it turns dark green, softens a bit but retains its crunch.

Serve as a side for your favorite meal. Enjoy!
