I cooked these chicken legs and thighs in the oven for 35 minutes. I finished them with the chili barbecue sauce from last week. They were really good! Of course, one can use store bought BBQ sauce if preferred. The flavor might be slightly different but the result will be the same!
You will need four whole chicken legs and thighs. Rinse them and pat dry them. Coat them with olive oil and season them generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano and ground cumin.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Place the chicken in a baking dish and put in the oven. Bake the chicken for 25 minutes. Open the oven and carefully brush the bbq sauce on the chicken. Flip it and brush the other side as well. Please do not burn yourself!
Bake the chicken for an extra 5 minutes. Brush both sides again. Bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until sauce has caramelized and serve. I served these with baby roasted potatoes. Enjoy!
I cooked the chicken for 25 minutes. Inside of the chicken was very much raw. I think Im going to cook it another 25 minutes.
