How to Make an Easy Lemon Mousse

This recipe is very, very easy to make. It requires only 3 ingredients and can be made in a snap. It is also loaded with flavor! Here is what you need to do for this:

Lemon Mousse Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Heavy Cream:
    • Pour 1 ½ cups of heavy cream into a mixing bowl.
    • Beat the cream with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until it forms stiff peaks.
  2. Add Condensed Milk and Lemon Juice:
    • Gently fold in the 14 oz. of sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream.
    • Add ½ cup of lemon juice to the mixture.
  3. Mix to Desired Consistency:
    • Continue to beat the mixture on medium speed until it achieves a creamy and mousse-like consistency.
  4. Portion the Mousse:
    • Pour the lemon mousse mixture into individual ramekins.
  5. Cover and Refrigerate:
    • Cover each ramekin with plastic wrap, ensuring the plastic wrap touches the surface of the mousse to prevent a skin from forming.
    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  6. Serve:
    • Once chilled, serve the lemon mousse directly from the ramekins.

    Should this be sweetened tinned milk? That’s what I used but there’s no indication of what the chef used. If just plain tinned milk there is no sweetener against the lemon. Anyone know?
