How to Make Cauliflower Salad

Cauliflower Salad

Let’s make a cauliflower salad today. This salad is great on it’s own and also a very nice side.

This salad is very easy to make, it is loaded with flavor and it is very healthy. Cauliflower is a good source of Protein, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Phosphorus and Potassium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Folate, Pantothenic Acid and Manganese. Tomatoes are a good source of Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), Thiamin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Copper, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Potassium and Manganese. Add some red onion and parsley to this and you are golden. Here is what you are going to need:

1 head cauliflower – washed and separated into florets
1 large tomato – chopped
1 small red onion – finely sliced
1 TBS parsley – chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar
Salt

Steam the cauliflower for 15 to 20 minutes until tender but not mushy. Cool down.

Place cauliflower in a bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and toss well. Serve and enjoy!

Tip: Place a piece of bread in the steaming water to absorb the cauliflower odors.
